Avigail Van Praagh
New York, USA
Born in Israel and raised in New York, Avigail brings a rich background in social sciences and nonprofit work in Manhattan to her time in Rishon LeZion.
She has spent most of her life navigating the spaces between worlds: spirituality and secularism, tradition and renewal, lineage and legacy, theory and practice. In making sense of that in-between, she has developed a knack for weaving together ideas and building bridges across perspectives that may, at first glance, seem in direct opposition.
Her experiences have given her a deep sensitivity to the breadth of the human experience - one she believes can be exponentially enriched through curiosity, compassion and mutual respect, all of which require knowing through experiencing and stepping outside of one's comfort zone.
Avigail is an artist, academic, and advocate; above all, she is a human being. When she is not volunteering in the community, you can find her writing poetry, reading, or hitting the gym.
