Advancing Service Learning in Israel
We've taken significant steps to advance ethical volunteer engagement standards across Israel through professional development, conference presentations, and strategic partnerships.
This leadership became especially crucial after October 7th, helping organizations adapt programs while maintaining responsible service standards.
Our field-building initiatives have included:
Conducting training sessions for the Ministry of Tourism and Ministry of Welfare
Presenting best practices at the IETA Conference and General Assembly
Developing comprehensive standards for ethical service learning
Training 300 professionals, including Birthright educators and trip organizers, in responsible volunteer management
Planning the inaugural Service Matters: Israel Summit in partnership with Repair the World (held in April 2025).
