Eva Sheedy
New Jersey, USA
Originally from South Orange, New Jersey, Eva recently graduated from Tufts University with a degree in sociology and a minor in peace and justice studies—academic foundations that perfectly align with her passion for community engagement and social change.
As a student, Eva was deeply active in religious and interfaith communities, holding leadership positions at campus Hillel while working with interfaith student groups and the multifaith chaplaincy. Through this interfaith work, she developed expertise in dialogue facilitation, attending and leading numerous campus sessions focused on respectfully sharing diverse perspectives and building understanding across differences.
In 2023, Eva spent two transformative months living in Israel while interning at the Jaffa Institute in Tel Aviv. This experience deepened her connection to the country and confirmed her desire to contribute meaningfully to Israeli communities through service and partnership.
Since returning from Israel, Eva has been eager to go back for a more extended engagement. She's excited to volunteer with local organizations, learn alongside her cohort, and continue exploring a country she's come to love deeply.
