Juliana Kessel

Born and raised in Springfield, New Jersey, Julianna combines her love of people with natural leadership skills developed through nine years in the restaurant industry and lifelong dance training. She graduated from Quinnipiac University with a Bachelor's in Media Studies, minor in Sociology, and Master's in Public Relations, recently advancing to managerial and event planning roles.
In August 2023, Julianna joined MITF as a teaching fellow in Beit Shean, working with elementary students to teach English. Her planned ten-month fellowship was cut short when October 7th occurred while she was visiting family in Holon. She left Israel six days later, but the experience only deepened her connection to the country and its people.
Since returning home in October 2023, Julianna has felt a strong pull to return to Israel. Her brief but meaningful time there confirmed her desire to give back to the communities and country she's come to love.
Active, adventurous, and passionate about travel and meeting new people, Julianna is incredibly excited to contribute meaningfully through her Yahel fellowship.
