Kimberly Onwu
London, UK
Kimberly is an International Development professional from London with a background in fundraising, marketing communications, project management and social impact. She holds a degree in International Relations and has worked across the nonprofit and private sectors, developing a particular interest in community development, social change and the ways organizations can create meaningful and lasting impact.
Kimberly's relationship with Israel began during her studies in Nonprofit Management and Leadership at the Rothberg International School at Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Living in Jerusalem gave her the opportunity to experience Israel beyond faith, history and academic study - sharing Shabbat meals, exploring the city and engaging with its diverse communities left her wanting a deeper, more grounded connection to the country.
Having travelled to over twenty countries across Africa, Europe, North America and the Middle East, Kimberly has developed a strong curiosity about different cultures and perspectives. Her professional and volunteering experiences have strengthened her belief in the importance of listening, partnership and treating people with dignity.
Through the Yahel Fellowship, Kimberly hopes to contribute her professional skills while gaining a deeper understanding of Israeli society and community-led social change. Outside of work, she enjoys journaling, travelling, handcrafting and nature walks.
