Michael Zholobovsky

Michael is an Israeli-born, Russian-raised 24-year-old who has spent the past six years living, studying, and working across Europe. Shaped by an upbringing that spans cultures and continents, he brings a genuinely global perspective to everything he does.
His connection to Jewish communal life began nearly eight years ago at a JCC in his hometown of Yekaterinburg, where he first discovered a passion for volunteering, informal education, and community development. Since then, he has been deeply involved in building and strengthening Jewish communities across multiple countries, working with young people and organizations at every stage of his journey.
This past summer, Michael completed a Master's Degree in Intercultural Psychology and Education - a field that sits at the intersection of his deepest interests: languages, cultures, and the dynamics of human connection. He is drawn to the Yahel Social Change Fellowship as an opportunity to put that academic foundation to work in a real, complex, and meaningful community context.
Outside of his studies and community work, Michael is endlessly curious - about people, places, and the stories that connect them.
