Olim Shalav: New Beginnings

Our Olim Shalav program continues to redefine the traditional narrative around new immigrants in Israel. This month, we proudly launched our fourth cohort in Haifa, welcoming 20 participants from nine different countries - Argentina, France, Iran, South Africa, Canada, Ukraine, India, Russia, and Switzerland.

This diverse group, ranging in age from 22 to 75, exemplifies the program's unique approach of positioning new immigrants as contributors to Israeli society from day one, helping them foster a sense of belonging to their new communities. Despite the current challenges in Israel's northern region, these dedicated individuals have chosen to make Haifa their home and immediately begin giving back to their new communities.

Among our inspiring participants is Anna Natalchuk, a medical clown and teacher who volunteers at Elwyn Israel's Clubhouse in Haifa, bringing joy and laughter to children with special needs. Stories like Anna's demonstrate how Olim Shalav creates meaningful connections while allowing new immigrants to share their talents with their adopted communities.
