Coral Bartfield

Olim Shalav Program Manager

Coral is a dedicated individual who has been actively involved in various youth movements, guiding different groups from a young age through leadership courses. Before her army service, she engaged in a year of service with Dror Yisrael where she was responsible for an educational space working with both Jewish and Arabic youth, in Ramle, integrating music, teaching singing, and empowering girls.

Utilizing her passion for languages she was tasked with recruiting volunteers during her army service, whilst also dedicating a year of this service to to education in the periphery. She was inspired by her previous experiences she brought an element of co-existence focused education to this role.

Pursuing her first degree in multi-studies of humanities in Tel Aviv University, she specialized in languages, history, and philosophy, before working in various social NGOs, teaching Hebrew to new immigrants and people overseas.

Her combined experiences sparked the idea that underserved Israeli communities and new immigrants can strengthen each other if connected, and she developed and initiated the Olim Shalav Program, which she runs in coordination with Yahel. The program seeks to integrate new immigrants through experiential Hebrew studies which take place alongside immersive volunteering experiences. Her diverse experiences and passion for education and cultural exchange make her a valuable asset to the Yahel team.
