Lod

Sunday

Morning

El Rashidiyah School - A school serving the Arab population in Lod - Fellows serve as teaching assistants in English as a Foreign Language classes, primarily working with small groups of children.

Late Afternoon

Blend.AR - A non-profit organization working towards shared society in Israel, by taking Jewish Israelis through immersive Arabic Ulpan programs and creating employment opportunities for young Arab teachers. Fellows intern to support marketing, communication and grant writing with the resource development team.

Tuesday

Morning

El Rashidiyah School - Continuing to assist teachers in the school and provide students with engaging English language programming

Late Afternoon

Library on Wheels - Fellows read, teach English and play games with children and families in community parks with our mobile English library.

Monday

Morning

The Farm School - The Farm School in Lod teaches young children basic agricultural and food prep skills. Fellows volunteer, helping out around the farm and in the classrooms

Late Afternoon

Mircaz Tzirim (Young Adult Center) -A community center in the heart of the city that provides professional development, mentoring, and welfare-related services. Fellows volunteer here creating English language, youth activity, and event programming.

Blend.AR - Continuing to support staff at Blend.Ar to implement ongoing projects.

Enosh - Enosh is a nationwide organization offering day-care facilities and activities for adults with various cognitive disabilities. Fellows support the organization by providing interactive activity programming for attendees.

Thursday
Together with entire cohort

Joint Learning Day

Participate in hands-on workshops combining language practice, skills development, structured reflection sessions, and deep dives into Israeli society and contemporary issues.

Day Trips

Immersive excursions examining key aspects of Israeli society through direct experience and contextual learning.

Examples:

South Tel Aviv day trip - Exploring the matter of refugees and asylum seekers in Israel.

​

Jerusalem Day Trip - Exploring the history and geography of Jerusalem, setting context for broader study of core topics (e.g. state & religion & the IP conflict)
